Start the May Bank Holiday off the right way by taking to the Cooley Mountains for a hike up to the summit of Sliabh Foy and across the ridge to Eagles Rock. From there we will drop down and make our way back via the White Bog and past the remains of the wonderful Booleys dotted along our path. This is a hike that will bring you into the heart of the Cooley Mountains and has incredible views on all sides throughout. Even without the views this trail is filled with flora, fauna and heritage and if you love the hills then this is for you. It is a tough enough hike so isn’t suitable for beginners and requires a decent level of hill fitness along with proper clothing and footwear. Absolutely no jeans or runners.
