How Anam Tours Was Born: My Story
I have loved the Cooley peninsula all my life. Years ago I trained as a tour guide at the Holy Trinity Heritage Centre in Carlingford which further deepened my appreciation for our history. I worked there for a while doing tours, but then I went off and life took over. I think I have probably done every job under the sun while always planning to get back to guiding eventually! However, back in 2018 a family tragedy made me look at life differently. I realised we were not promised a tomorrow and I needed to stop putting off taking the chance of living my dream. I have walked the hills above the village practically every day and I know the true value of being up there. I wanted to share that feeling with others and so Anam Tours became a reality. Anam means Soul in Irish. The mountains are my happy place and I hope I can make them yours! 🙂
