Join me on a gorgeous hike in the Cooley Mountains that will take us up above the Long Woman’s Grave to Foxes Rock with it’s beautiful views of Omeath, Anglesey Mountain, Clermont Cairn and beyond. From there we will head down a bit into a small valley with lovely mountain ponds before making our way back up to our second peak at Ravens Rock. The views from here are also stunning with Sliabh Foy and the rest of the Cooley Mountains surrounding us. After a short break here we will continue on down through a mix of trails that run alongside rivers and ravines (and a few surprises 😉 ) before looping back to our starting point. This is a lovely hike but there are steep sections from the very start so it does require a decent level of hill fitness and proper clothing and footwear. Absolutely no jeans or runners.
