Join me for a gorgeous hike in the Cooley Mountains on this lovely route that will take us up above the Long Woman’s Grave to Foxes Rock with its beautiful views of Omeath, Anglesey Mountain, Clermont and beyond 🙂 From there we will head down a bit into a small valley with mountain ponds before making our way back up to our second peak at Ravens Rock. The views from here are also stunning with Sliabh Foy and the rest of the Cooley mountains surrounding us. After a short break we will continue on down through a mix of trails that run alongside rivers and ravines before looping back around to our starting point. This is a truly lovely hike but it has steep ascents from the very beginning so it does require a decent level of hill fitness and proper clothing and footwear. No jeans or runners please.
