Walk off the Paddy’s Day pints/fizzy drinks with a lovely hike up to the Cross on the beautiful Barnavave on the Cooley Mountains 🙂 This hike will give you wonderful views over the Peninsula, Mountains and Lough without having to go too high. From there we will make our way down Maebh’s Gap and the magical Deserted Village before returning back to Carlingford along the lower slopes of the hill. It is a hike filled with history and beauty. There are some steep bits however, so a reasonable level of fitness is required as are proper clothing and footwear. No jeans or runners please.
