As part of the last weekend of Lughnasadh hikes we will be taking our normal Picnic Hikes to the next level 🙂 We will head up through the beautiful Deserted Village on the lower slopes of Barnavave and on up through Maebh’s Gap to the Cross on the summit. From there we will make our way along the ridge to Paddy’s Top before dropping down to Coinnle Corra campground where there will be a full tea party and lunch set up and waiting for us to sit and enjoy 🙂 There will be a wonderful selection of sandwiches made with home made bread, fresh baked scones and some tasty desserts all served on and in real tableware 🙂 When booking, please advise of any dietary requirements. After our leisurely lunch there is a short gentle walk back to our starting point.

The hike part of our day has some short steep sections on uneven mountain terrain but is doable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Proper footwear and clothing are required.
