Say Goodbye to the last day of May with a hike up to the always beautiful Foxes Rock at the northern end of the Cooley Mountains to watch the Sun setting behind the hills 🙂 On a clear evening the views from here are truly wonderful with Omeath below and the rest of the mountains and Carlingford Lough surrounding us. This is a lovely route but it is steep from the outset so it does require a reasonable level of hill fitness. Proper footwear and clothing are required and a head torch for the way down as we will be returning under the night sky .No jeans or runners please. Grippy footwear is essential.

Duration: 3 hours approx

Difficulty: Short but steep with uneven mountain terrain

Please be aware that the walk leaves on schedule so allow yourself time to park and prepare.
