The first Full Moon of the New Year is the Wolf Moon. To celebrate it we will be heading to Paddy’s top at the Southern end of the Cooley Mountains to watch the Sun setting before making our way across to Barnavave and home through the Deserted Village under the rising Moon. This is a gorgeous hike although it has got some tough spots so a reasonable level of hill fitness is required as are proper clothing and footwear. As with all my Sunset hikes we will be returning under a night sky so a torch is handy to have 😉 .
