Our first monthly Full Moon hike of 2025 will be the Wolf Moon 🙂 It’s peak illumination is on Monday the 13th so perfect for anyone who works weekends and fancies joining us! We will be heading up to Paddy’s Top to watch the Sun setting and the Moon rising from one of my favourite places on the Cooley Mountains with its 360 degree views of the rest of the Cooley Mountains, the Mournes, Carlingford Lough and Dundalk Bay. This is a lovely hike and is doable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness but it does require proper footwear and clothing due to the uneven mountain terrain with some steep sections and the cooler temperatures at this time of the year. Torches are also good to have as we will be walking home under the night sky 🙂 No jeans or runners please.
