The August Full Moon will be the Sturgeon Moon and we will be heading up to watch the Sun setting from the beautiful vantage point of the hills of Barnavave. We will decide the direction of the route on the night but we will definitely be passing through the magical Deserted Village and Maebh’s Gap and the route will be filled with beauty. After the Sun has set we will walk and watch as the Moon rises over Carlingford Lough and we will make our way home under the night sky 🙂 This hike has some steep sections and uneven terrain but it is doable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Proper clothing and footwear is required and a torch 🙂
