Let’s celebrate the start of Lughnasadh by watching the Sun as it rises over Carlingford Lough from the beautiful vantage point of the Cooley Mountains. We will take a walk along a mix of trails that will bring us through the Deserted Village and the surrounding hills as the darkness turns to dawn and the day begins 🙂 Sunrise is a magical time 🙂

There are some short steep sections and uneven terrain but this walk will be done at a gentle pace so is doable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Proper footwear is required and a torch 🙂
