Celebrate the Spring Equinox with a gentle (ish) walk along the lower slopes of Barnavave up to the Deserted Village to watch the Sun as it rises over Carlingford Lough. This was an important day in our Celtic calendar and is a beautiful way to say goodbye to Winter and look forward to the warmth returning 🙂

Although this is a fairly easy walk, it is still a mountain trail with some short steep sections with uneven ground so a reasonable level of fitness is required as are proper clothing and footwear. No jeans or runners.

Duration: 2 hours approx

Difficulty: Easy but with uneven mountain terrain.
