Join me on a hike up to the summit of Sliabh Foy, the highest peak in the Cooley Mountains and the highest point in Louth, to take in the beautiful views of the rest of our mountains, the Mournes, Carlingford Lough and Dundalk Bay. On a clear day these views are spectacular and on a not so clear day the hike itself will be enough to entertain you 🙂 This is a fairly strenuous hike in parts and will be wet underfoot at this time of year so a decent level of hill fitness is required as are proper clothing and footwear. No jeans or runners please.

Difficulty: Hard

Duration: 4 hours approx ( can be longer depending on weather conditions)

Meeting Point: The Big Tree on the Village Green beside the main carpark in Carlingford.

Please be aware that the walk leaves on schedule so allow yourself time to park and prepare.
