Start your New Year on the right foot (pun absolutely intended ;)) with a hike in the beautiful Cooley Mountains 🙂 Just in case there are any fragile bodies we will set a gentle pace as we head up to the Cross on Barnavave and down Maebh’s Gap through the Deserted Village and back to Carlingford. This is a truly wonderful trail with gorgeous views on all sides and filled with history and heritage. There is also the added bonus of having a smug look on your face the rest of the day 😀 While there are some steep sections and uneven mountain terrain, it is doable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Proper clothing and footwear are required. No jeans or runners.
