We are kicking off the Easter Weekend of Walks with a wonderful hike up to the Cross on Barnavave via the Deserted Village and Maebh’s Gap before making our way across to Paddy’s Top at the southern end of the Cooley Mountains. This is a beautiful part of the Cooleys with gorgeous views on all sides. There are some steep sections and uneven mountain terrain so a reasonable level of hill fitness is required as are proper clothing and footwear. No jeans or runners please!
