Join me on the Bank Holiday Monday for a lovely hike up to the Cross on Barnavave in the Cooley Mountains with its beautiful views over Carlingford Lough, the Mournes and Dundalk Bay. From there we will make our way over to the wonderful Paddy’s Top before dropping down to the Deserted Village and back to our starting point along a mix of local trails 🙂

This hike has some steep bits and uneven mountain terrain but is doable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Proper clothing and footwear are required. No jeans or runners.

Duration: 4 hours approx

Difficulty: Moderate

Please be aware that the walk leaves on schedule so allow yourself time to park and prepare.
