This is definitely one of my favourites up a not so high but very mighty wee mountain . We will be making our way up through woodland and past a hidden waterfall before we leave the trees and head out onto open mountainside .
You will definitely know you have calf muscles by the time we reach the cairn but the fabulous views all around give you plenty of excuses to stop for a “photo” .

This is a mix of trails and rough mountain terrain so you will need proper footwear and clothing and a reasonable level of fitness 

Difficulty: Moderate/Hard in spots
Meeting point: Victoria Lock on the Newry Canal Road.

Please note, my walks leave promptly at the advertised start time. The hikes are paced out and timed to allow for people who may be a bit slower on the hills, water breaks and photo stops etc and they are also timed to make sure we don’t miss a specific event as in Sunset or Sunrise. Earlier start times to allow for latecomers can result in too much time on the mountain in the cold waiting for the sun to set or rise.
